Effective
Public information, no account connection
Codex Resets is maintained by wong2. The plugin returns public reset status and history. It does not request your name, email, password, payment details, or full ChatGPT conversation.
What reminders need
ChatGPT sends the requested operation and its parameters, such as a date range. If you request a reminder, we also store:
- The callback URL supplied by ChatGPT: the address where we send the event.
- Webhook signing keys: used to verify our messages, not your OpenAI password or API key. A previous key may remain stored after rotation.
- The subscription identifier, reminder type, status and timing, plus public event content and delivery results.
These records let us deliver reminders, renew subscriptions and retry failed deliveries. Keep callback URLs private: anyone with a callback URL and event type can stop that subscription.
Hosting and delivery
Cloudflare hosts the service and stores these records. Hosting processes network information needed to serve requests; application logs record request methods, tool names and response status. ChatGPT receives subscribed events and handles them under OpenAI's own policies.
Public announcements are classified and translated through Vercel AI Gateway and model providers including xAI and DeepSeek. Your callback URL and signing keys are not inputs to that processing.
Stopping reminders and stored records
Ask ChatGPT to stop the corresponding monitoring task. Cancellation or expiry stops future delivery, but does not automatically delete the callback URL, signing keys or delivery history. It cannot recall a message already sent.
These stored records currently have no automatic deletion deadline. This notice does not specify a fixed retention period for hosting logs or support messages. Contact us with questions about retention or to request deletion.
Questions and data requests
Email support@codex-resets.com to ask about or request deletion of subscription records. If you contact support, we receive your email address and message. Do not send passwords, API keys, signing keys or private callback URLs.
The website is separate
Using the plugin does not subscribe you to website email or push notifications, or enroll you in sponsorship. Visiting or using the website has separate data handling, described below.
Website features and privacy
- Email reminders
- If you sign up, we store your address, confirmation and subscription state, and delivery records. Cloudflare sends the email. Unsubscribing stops pending mail but does not automatically delete your address or history.
- Browser notifications
- If you enable them, we store the push address and encryption keys and send notifications through your browser's push provider. Turning notifications off on the website stops that browser subscription and requests removal of its server record. Revoking browser permission is a separate setting.
- Preferences and visit statistics
- The website saves theme and time-display preferences in local storage and a language preference in a cookie. Its main page loads One Dollar Stats and Umami at u.lessbutbetter.studio, which process visit and browser information. These support and policy pages use a local theme preference but no statistics scripts.
- Reset requests and reactions
- Rate limits use network addresses and a daily address hash. Counts are stored; country information and request identifiers can appear in live activity.
- Public chat
- Chat is disabled. Earlier messages, nicknames, timestamps, country information and client identifiers may remain stored; chat preferences may remain in your browser.
- Sponsorship
- Stripe handles checkout. We store contact email, payment and subscription identifiers, purchase status, submitted materials and click totals. Approved sponsor materials appear publicly; names and taglines may be sent for AI translation. Cancelling does not automatically erase purchase history.
No automatic deletion period is defined for stored email, sponsorship or historical chat records. This notice does not specify a fixed retention period for visit statistics. These website features are not required to use the plugin; contact us with questions about their data handling.
